Group & Couple Therapy

Feel connected ~ You are not alone

Feel more connected to people

Improve your confidence in social situations

Learn what to do when faced with conflicts

Gain greater insights about your behaviors

In group therapy usually 4 to 8 individuals meet every week with a trained licensed therapist to discuss and resolve a similar and or related conflict.

Interpersonal concerns such as intimacy, anger, assertiveness, trust, isolation, and loss can be worked through a group that provides opportunities for personal growth.  The reactions to each other in a group replicate the real life experiences and under the watchful eye of an experienced group therapist the group members learn new ways of interaction and dealing with people in their life.Since group is a social microcosm, the group members learn to communicate in a more open and authentic way, and become less fearful about the impact on other people when they are honest -- even with expression of angry emotions. When a member witnesses the impact of his/her behavior on others and gets feedback from the group, the relationships become more intimate or assertive. In a group setting experiences of loss, envy, longing, and desire for intimacy can be identified. At the same time group therapy reaffirms that you are not alone in the world; you feel connected and get support, empathy and validation from people who have shared similar experiences.Dr. Daniel Sadigh is a clinical mental health professional who has met nationally accepted criteria of education, training and experience in group psychotherapy. His cross cultural background and his respect for every individual’s unique experiences make his group’s a safe, trusting, supportive and comfortable environment to resolve difficulties and learn alternative behaviors.

Grief Support ~ When you heal a heart, you heal a life.

The thought of losing a loved one is an anxiety provoking experience. You may feel dizzy, disconnected, and breathless; you may notice changes in your heart-beat, tightness in your muscles, and a chill down your spine. Now imagine how it would actually feel for someone who has lost a dear one. How will it affect everything in their lives? Often times, we hear about people losing loved ones and we wish to help them; but there is only so much we can do. They need a nurturing environment and enough time to process the many destabilizing feelings such as denial and anger. Further, children and young adults may not even show their feelings at all, and suffer quietly. So how can we help?

TheACY.org Foundation is a non-profit organization specifically dedicated to support those who are affected by the loss of a dear one; and the Wheel of Wellbeing is their home for assisting with this important mission.
