Here at the Wheel of Wellbeing, our goal is to practice, serve and guide in ways that cultivate awareness, insight, empathy, and understanding.  Believing in an integrated approach to overall wellbeing, the Wheel encourages and recommends emotional and spiritual wellbeing in conjunction with physical and mental wellbeing. We believe there are many paths to healing and that health is a fusion of mind, body and spirit. Through education, research and treatment modalities we seek to reduce symptoms, promote wellbeing, nurture hope and prevent disease.

To reach your spiritual awareness and therefore a balance of total wellbeing, The Wheel offers variety of workshops, seminars and classes in yoga, meditation, breath-work, sacred dance, sound therapy & other forms of healing.
 

Dance & Movement Therapy ~ Healing Through Freedom of Expression.
Dance is the most fundamental of the arts, dance therapy is a vehicle that helps people deal with and overcome their emotional and physical ailments. It is therapeutic and offers a journey of self discovery and appreciation. Based on the assumption of mind-body connection, dance/movement therapy is defined by the American Dance Therapy Association as "the psycho-therapeutic use of movement as a process which furthers the emotional, cognitive and physical integration of the individual."  Dance/Movement therapy effects changes in feelings, cognition, physical functioning and behavior.
 
Dance therapists believe that emotional and physiological ailments represent themselves in the body as muscle tension. Dance provides a way to release the tension through movement while allowing inner feelings to be expressed by movement. Movement is the language of the body. The goal of a Dance Therapist's is to help their client's discover their own body movement in a safe and encouraging environment.

When the mind is free of scattered thoughts and blockages it encourages and develops concentration, and emotional positivity. By engaging in a particular meditation practice one learns the patterns and habits of the mind and finds new practices to cultivate more positive ways of being.
 
Through discipline and patience, meditation becomes part of one's daily life. Meditation benefits are both physical and psychological. Some of the physical benefits include decrease in blood pressure and improvement in breathing. Meditation can also promote youthful skin and appearance. Music & Sound Therapy ~ Bring Peace & Harmony to Your Life Through Music

Sound/Music Therapy is a deliberate series of frequencies and wave forms that re-tune the vibrations of our organs. The body has specific frequencies for each gland and organ while each part resonates at a certain frequency. Since our bodies are mostly consisting of water, the harmony inducing vibrations of sound can easily be transferred through all our organs. Sound Therapy provides specific attention to unobstructed and healing power of vibrations as certain vibrations are essential for rejuvenation, creating health, balance and vitality. . .

Our body is flawlessly a magnificent instrument of creation. Given the right instructions it has the intelligence to correct itself and to resonate at the frequencies that provide us with wellbeing and joy. The effect of sound therapy on our body is like fine-tuning a musical instrument.
